Mike & Lori Linnabery
'New Owners' since December 2015
Our name tags say Michael & Lorraine, but neither of us are that formal. We are the 'new owners' of Inn On The River and we are thrilled you are interested in our 'little place'.
We strive to make your stay great and we love getting to know our guests. The Inn has been an amazing lifestyle change for the two of us.
Mike has spent many years in the hospitality environment, he most recently had been in sales and finance with a nearby powersports business. Prior to that he spent many years helping manage and direct a local church camp. You will find him most days going out of his way to accommodate our guests and looks forward to making folks feel like they are spoiled. He loves to help the staff with serving meals and is usually carrying someone's luggage upstairs.
Lori is a licensed vocational nurse and has been working at a clinic and local hospital for many years. She has recently joined the staff full time in the reservations/sales office. She also had been at the local church camp as camp nurse in the summer and guests services director during the off season. She enjoys helping Chef Lupe in the kitchen when they are shorthanded and loves sitting by the river early in the morning watching the sunrise.
Together Mike and Lori have four kids. Most of them are grown and help with the Inn when they can. We have one 'little' guy left who is a young teenager and can be found giving a very good tour of the Inn. Ask him anything, if he doesn't know the answer he will find out.
We have guests ask us all the time 'what made you decide to buy an Inn'? Well, to be very honest we aren't really sure. Life as we knew it was fairly comfortable and we both enjoyed the work that we did. We knew from past experience that we work well together and we wanted to do something that we felt like made a difference in peoples lives. We have thoroughly enjoyed watching people decompress. It is amazing how many of our guests walk in with shoulders around their ears and very stressed looks on their faces. The day they leave they are smiling, laughing and completely void of stress. It is very satisfying on our part to see that happen.
We would love to invite you to come stay, enjoy historic and friendly Glen Rose and all it has to offer. Plan on relaxing and being taken away from the noise and chaos of your 'real lives'.
